Starting here I am going to record my failures throughout my life. These are smaller msitakes to keep note of so that they don't grow into larger beasts in going unnoticed and so that I am aware of them

Book of "Failures" 1, 1.1, etc.

Section I:

4/5/17: "Listen to my parents, they know what is truly right"

"Be patient"

"Follow my heart"

"Always do the correct thing, even when others think it's wrong"

4/18/17: "Forget about past experiences you have had with people and talk to them"

"Ask for help when needed (don't be reluctant to do so)"

4/21/17: "Find happiness or teaching in the little things or negative situations"

"Don't talk to my kids in the future about my own money/finances"

  • [update on 11/24/19] Teach them, but don't show them my own.
  • [update on 3/25/20] I agree even more with what I said on 11/24/19

  • "She deserves the world so don't ever take her granted"

4/29/17: "Don't rush into things"

"Don't say "um" when public speaking"

5/22/17: "Don't complain"

  • [update on 11/24/19] Don't just But understand why you are complaining too
  • not complain.

5/31/17: "You can only control the present. So focus everything on the NOW"

  • "Prom weekend just passed haha. Fuck that average bullshit"

6/6/17: "Be honest and open"

6/24/17: "Learn from the mistakes I write down"

  • [update on 11/24/19]  DO THIS MORE

6/25/17: "The Two Day Rule - be consistent with your schedule and don't miss things for two days in a row!"

6/28/17: "Ask for help, don't be embarrassed to ask"

7/7/17: "Don't be afraid/ashamed to say NO!"

  • "The most successful people do it all the time. That's what separates them"

7/10/17: "Don't be too cynical. Put yourself in other people's shoes"

7/23/17: "Don't be too hard on yourself"

7/28/17: "Comparing yourself to others = (I drew a thumbs down)

8/16/17: "Don't let others adjust your mindset or change the way you behave"

8/20/17: "Live life to the fullest"

8/24/17: "Be more enthusiastic"

8/30/17: "Don't overthink"

9/5/17: "Be patient and don't judge others. You don't know what they have been through (wrote the same thing exactly 5 months ago)"

9/24/17: "You can't do everything, especially at once."

9/26/17: "Be confident, still look people in the eye, and smile! (sort of the same thing on 8/24)"

10/21/17: "Stop comparing yourself to others. Make your own imprint on this Earth. (wrote the same thing on 7/28)"

10/25/17: "SAY 'NO' MORE OFTEN"

10/30/17: "Stop what you are doing, be present, and listen to them (wrote this on 9/26/17)"

  • Happened when I realized I was making my bed and talking to G

12/29/17: "STOP FUCKING OVERTHINKING! (wrote this on 8/30/17 and probably another time)"

1/3/18: "Listen to my mom (wrote this on 4/5/17)"

"DAMN ANT! FUCKING SERIOUSLY!"

1/17/18: "Don't undermine people for something you are not doing"

1/20/18: "Follow your fucking heart, gut, and intuition"

  • "I SHOULD HAVE HAD MORE CONFIDENCE TO HELP THAT LADY OUT AT TRADER JOES"

2/13/18: "Don't talk bad things behind people's back!"

  • "There's a difference between honesty and being a douche. Understand the difference."

2/20/18: "Stay committed to what you promise. Be a man of your word"

  • "I told Bishara I would be able to present for the SSA meeting a week earlier. Then, an hour before I said I couldn't because we were reviewing for the midterm in ECON"

3/15/18: "Follow my heart and trust my intuition"

  • "Also wrote on 4/5/17"

6/6/18: "Have a balance (balance in moderation is better than no balance or A LOT of balance)

"Don't talk behind people's back no matter how bad they are (WROTE THIS ON 2/13/18)"

  • "Wish the best for them and hope they improve"
  • "Continue to be yourself. Through that, they will change, as well!"

9/10/18: "After Iceland trip I was in EWR airport with Sufi and Maruf. Sufi told me to download and use Mobile Passport to surpass the long line. I did it then deleted it after the first security checkpoint. But I didn't know there another security checkpoint. So, I had to redownload and do everything again. Furthermore, since I deleted the app it didn't scan my boarding pass correctly. So, it took even longer to get through. (MORE PATIENCE!)"

10/3/18: "It is humility, the son of ambition, and brother of reality, that will keep you on course in your life. (Stay grounded and balanced in mind! Always.)"

10/11/18: "Fear is nothing. So, fear nothing Ant. Your life is a product of your thoughts!"

11/2/18: "When given a compliment, accept it but know you aren't worthy of it on the inside. Then, if you can respond in this way say, "Thank you, BUT you are partially wrong. I helped you, more so, you helped yourself. I was just an instrument that was a cause of this help of change in your life."

  • "Because sometimes, I have a hard time and do a bad job of taking compliments"

11/10/18: "Focus on the present. It's all you have"

11/11/18: "Be honest to those you love most"

11/28/18: "Let go. Fuckin let go Ant. Don't be a servant to past conditions or hereditary actions. Let go of it all"

12/2/18: "Be in silence more. When you take a break be fully immersed in it. Not 60% in and 40% focused on work or something else. Be fully present on relaxing. It's a paradox that doing nothing (sometimes) will allow you to be successful"

12/3/18: "Be ambitious but don't let it override your character, leadership, and patience. Oh and focus on the present moment"

  • "[Said this on 4/5/17, 4/29/17, 9/5/17, 9/10/17]"

1/7/19: "Listen, listen, listen, and ask questions if needed"

1/19/19: "Always be honest with those close to you (no mistake for me, just making it a point)"

2/4/19: "No mistake (opportunity to learn here). Just use personal values, along with financial lessons, to increase my net worth and reduce expenditures/debt"

2/26/19: "Follow my heart!"

  • "Said on 4/15/17, 1/20/18, 3/5/18, and now"
  • "WOW like at that Ant! Three times in three years. "The stupid man is he who repeats without application or analysis""

3/11/19: "No mistake. Just be happy with your progress and aware of what you are doing. Good job!"

3/25/19: "Take your time"

  • "Always reinvent yourself and be happy with doing so. These things are meant to happen. Change is the constant variable of life"

4/8/19: "Notice when you are close to burning out and feel yourself doing too much"

  • "Adjust accordingly by taking the time you need for yourself, getting the proper sleep, keeping with morning routine, saying NO when needed, etc"

4/14/19: "1st Biz entry = Communication is key. Don't make a team decision without getting the team's full individual consensus, opinion, and input. Filter through, then execute"

4/16/19: "2nd Biz entry = Always separate work from play. In the big and granular things. It will make a huge difference in months to come"

4/23/19: "Make sure I stay on schedule with the timing of my sleep. I noticed that I deviated from it and it caused me to miss a decent amount of morning routines to start my day. Thus, causing me to prolong and move around my schedule. The root of not getting enough sleep and throwing my schedule off, caused problems such as unneeded change, doing things when I didn't want to, being selfish in a way because I couldn't see certain people (i.e. I had to work out in the evening and couldn't see someone because of that), and being off kilter mentally (whether it was my emotions, thoughts, or not being able to comprehend some things)."

  • ACCEPT IT, EMBRACE IT, AND CHANGE ACCORDINGLY.

5/8/18: "Josh Gershon and I had some trouble with getting a video done that encapsulates the SI Spring Break Recap. For brevity, the problem was a combination of little timing, unclear intention, no design or work flow process in place, structure and levels of video feedback were off, and more."

  • We got through this with empathy, understanding, open-mindedness, radical transparency, and a knowing to improve our work flow process for future videos.
  • The costs of this (which were much needed) were wasted time, unneeded sleepless nights, fatigue, and guilt.

6/1/19:

  • Forgive yourself and have inner-empathy
  • This was realized and learned through “falling off track” with my routines and systems that I recently established
  • IT’S ALL GOOOOODD

6/30/19:

  • Sometimes, my major vice of anxiousness/impatience holds control over me. That happened when working with everyone to plan TJ's Spotlight screening for Cira Green.
  • I have to trust more, meditate on it, have patience, and realize that I always, at all times, have control over any emotion I feel.
    • This vice came about more so as a mask or covering up to my true insecurity that I really want everything to go right at this event.
  • This was a huge learning point for leadership, communication, and self.
  • Learn from it and don't let it happen or escalate in the future. It will only play out worse next time
    • Keep in mind, I am over emphasizing everything. But, good to keep myself in check
