Weaknesses:
- Let loose more/"smell the roses"
- Doesn't have to be in the big things; embrace it in the little things too
- Patience
- Forgiveness to myself
- Realization on 8/18/21 - when reading The 4 Hour Work Week I came across the following on page 75:
- βItβs easy to get caught in a flood of my new, and the key to not feeling rushed is remembering that lack of time is actually lack of priorities. Take time to stop and smell the roses, or - in this case β to count the pea pods.β (Tim Ferriss - βThe 4 Hour Work Weekβ, p. 75)
- Realize my full potential/confidence
- Greater self-esteem and belief in myself
- Look at the bigger picture (higher level thinking)
- See how far I have come and the runway I have left
- Value the little things more/pragmatism too
- One step at a time
- Stay present (meditation x 10)
- Prepare and plan (x 10)
- Celebrate the small wins (all wins for that matter)
- Following my heart and going with my instincts/intuition
- Don't always be by the book
- Missed this boat 3 + times now since I started documenting, recording, and focusing on my S & W
- However, it could be the old adage of "I'll be better off because of it." Life is funny like that (topic for another day)
- Listen to listen
- Listen to listen!
- Active listening
- Empathetic listening
- Listen to the little voice in my head too
- Inner listening
- Learn to love change/failure
- Be flexible and pivot when something isn't working
- I strive to please others
- Just be me and be true to myself
- Record myself in conversation and re-listen
- Kindness
- Distinguish kindness from staying in my lane
- Use awareness to know when people are coming from a bad place
- Explore ideas with the most believable people you have access to (for being open-minded, but this applies here too)
- Silent empathy/pray for them
- Mentors
- Know what level of mentor you are at
- Identify few in select areas of my life
- Make sure to constantly evaluate mentors (they have to improve for you to improve too)
- Use the 3 part mentor model
- Too critical/too hard on myself
- No is good
- Rejection is good
- Failure is life man; enjoy and forgive yourself
- Inner empathy
- Overthinking
- One step at a time
- Now is all we have
- Meditation (x 10)
- Hard-headed at times
- Get outside advice when needed (take it with a grain of salt too)
- Admit you don't know it all
- Trust
- I have a hard time trusting others
- Rooted from my childhood (no need for my explanation. I know)
- Never 100% committed to trust. Always somewhat cautious
- Understand the quote: "People are going to hurt you no matter what, you have to choose the one's worth fighting for"
- In which I will also add that you have to stump the ability for you to be hurt by confronting problems and being radically transparent
- Lastly, I can still be trusting but vigilant too. Learn and practice the balance
- Assertiveness in external behaviors - more of an observer in my own way
- So, the weakness is making sure to be myself with full conviction. Not one with the world.
- And alsoβ¦. be direct and genuinely blunt when being honest with others
