(1/4) Be Impeccable with Your Word

The Gospel of John in the Bible, speaking of the creation of the universe says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word is God.”

Word = sword with two edges

Impeccable = without sin

ownership without judgment or blame

Because if you do, sin means you are rejecting yourself

“Being impeccable with your word is not using the word against yourself.” (pg. 32)

“You can measure the impeccability of your word by your level of self-love.” (pg. 44)

(2/4) Don’t Take Anything Personally

It’s not all about you, so stop thinking it is

Empathy + Compassion always → Respect always → Remember to deploy both ways

(3/4) Don’t Make Assumptions

BIG rule

{non-truth} “The problem with making assumptions is that we believe they are the truth.” (pg. 63)
{asking question} “It is always better to ask questions than to make an assumption, because assumptions set us up for suffering.” (pg. 65)

DON’T BE afraid to ask for clarity! (p. 64)

Avoid assumptions in relationships by COMMUNICATING HEAVILY

{different mental models} “We make the assumption that everyone sees life the way we do.” (pg. 69)
Easier to be with someone you don’t have to change, than the other way around (in relation to having a life partner)

{asking question} “Also, find your voice to ask for what you want.”
{asking question} “Info/idea is the seed = what we act on is the difference.”

Your best will change throughout the days, and you don’t even know your full potential too, so try as best as you know you can.
