5 Reasons to Have Empathy:

1. We have software wired within us from many centuries ago. We all have things encoded in us that are innately from natures evolutionary process. So, that doesn't only allow for outward empathy to others, but inner empathy to yourself.
2. The DNA and genetic makeup someone has from their ancestors and lineage can cause them to be certain way.
3. "You never know what happens behind closed doors." A quote from my childhood friend goes a long way. People have a backstory that you know nothing about. Never assume and have a preconceived notion of anyone. Get to know them, their story, and how they are wired.
4. It will allow you to be more open-minded and it will allow you to get you what you are seeking.
5. It's just right.
